Bingo.. I don’t expect Simek to be able to make the same quality of pass as Erik Karlsson but at the same time I realize one makes 10.5MM more than the other. I also expect more from Vlasic on D than I do from say Heed based on role on the team.

I don't think anyone wants him gone but he's a casualty of DW's bad contracts.
I don't think that's entirely fair. I'd like to keep Dilly around as much as the next guy, but even without a cap crunch, the $4-4.5 million he should expect on his next contract is a lot to ask for a guy who'd be our #4D at best. With Simek and Ferraro playing as well as they have and Merkley just a couple of years out, Dillon would likely be moving on anyway.

Tough game. Our boys fought but they just don’t have the depth of skill. It finally caught up. Though the young ‘uns are learning how to play and stay in the NHL.
Dillon has been a warrior. He’s not going to be in teal next season. That’s a bitter pill but we need the space monetarily. That’s the business.

God damn, just saw the Dillon interview. I don't know what the solution is but as a team you gotta keep the guys that can contribute and actually want to be there. Gotta figure out a deal to ditch Vlasic and resign Simek and Dillon.

I tend to think a bad goal is a bad goal regardless at this level and the salary differences tend to be the differences in goalies to make the saves that they otherwise wouldn't be faulted for but others have different reasoning for that.
