They share the same physic body, more or less, the level of pure skills are higher with Laine. Obviously. Anderson is the kind who will drop gloves, he's an alpha male grinder, lol.
Dach have the same body but almost nothing happen for him. He's on pause.
Dach has no shot and no IQ to get into favorable position. And bunch of other things. I don't know... It is unfortunate but maybe all we get is what we see. I still want Habs to make da playoffs though.

What a game by Laine. Every one of his goals were missiles.

We're very lucky to have an elite player in his prime for nothing.
Put it in a good trade category. More like this please.

Makes me wonder though, did he manage to date some of them in real life? Come on there was prime Terry Hatcher! And her:

Money, fame, humour, quite the aphrodisiac for women.

I mean, Laine has goals from his one timer on the PP, his success has been pretty specific, he still has tons of rust in the other parts of the game.

Yup he's not even close to 100 percent. Helluva PP weapon though in the meantime. :thumbu:

Even the mercy PP at the end. How often does that happen.
The make up power plays, too. The refs were pretty much forced to call the consecutive Sabres penalties so of course they try to balance a bit. Balancing penalties is admitting to doing your reffing badly.

Who said that?
It was raised as a concern when he became available. As usual though, this is being taken out of context.

At the time people were debating what should be given up to get him. Some of us felt that his contract, mental and physical health meant that we should not give up a premium for him. I went so far as to say we should be paid to take him and that’s exactly what happened.

Great trade. The upside was always there but so was the risk. I saw anything he did as gravy and he’s been awesome.

Even if he’s just a PP specialist, it doesn’t matter. Those goals are extremely valuable.

It was extremely savvy to buy low on Laine. He has a tool that no other player does. Just needed to get older and leave his teen angst behind. Along with Caufield and Hutson the offense is there. Just need that other thing starts with a D and ends with fence.
I'll forgive you because you're a newly minted Habs fan, but you forgot the true motor of the MTL offense: Slick Nikk. Don't fret many old time Habs fans do the same thing.

Yes, there is. Not the gay part, of course, but the slutty, unfaithful part.

Laine goes to waste with Dach and Newhook.

Newhook 31gp 6g 0a 6p -12

Dach 31gp 2g 7a 9p -22

Maybe time to mesh with the lines a bit? Suzuki, Slaf and Caufield can feed. Newhook in 31gp 0 assists.

Imagine what Laine could garner us at the trade deadline if his production continues?

Just a thought.
I guess my question is why give up something the team desperately needs? If he continues to stay healthy and enjoys his time here, would it be smart business decision to move on from that asset? Always depends on the return but unless it's a Center of similar ilk, I'm not sure we're all that interested a the moment.

If there were preliminary talks revolving around an extension and there is minimal interest from his side, then absolutely, maximize his value in a trade but until then, I'm holding off for a while.
