A new contender for worst broadcaster of all time (Leah Hextall)

There have been plenty of threads about bad broadcasters. There’s a trillion on Jack Edwards and one from a few days ago about Bitch Goring.

To each their own I guess . There are broadcasters I dislike but I don't start or dump on them on social media or web forums . That's just me though. It would like lodging a complaint at a restaurant for bad garnish and plate presentation . Then going online to complain about it. Even if the food itself was fine.

Will people in 20 years really say
" That Pens/Caps game in 2021 was amazing. It would of held a special place in my heart as I saw it with my late dad. Unfortunately the broadcaster sucked so it ruined the experience"

She’s comically bad. The forced inclusion of women into PBP, and hosting jobs has turned the telecasts into cringe marathons.

It reminds me of an event that happened on a movie set recently. This is basically happening at every level, on every domain of society right now.

For the record, I recently listened to part of a game that she was calling. Hearing all the negativity ftom here I was expecting a total gong show . Didnt think she was very bad. And even if she is many here are going way overboard with the hate.

How many games is she doing each week? She ought to have time to prepare and get this stuff right. Other than Hischier I heard once, I can't say completely for the Devils. But for the Preds, between Hextall and Weekes tonight they've already mispronounced...

Of course she/he would. When you're miles below talent of others out there, you stick out like a sore thumb. Be like putting a below average beer league player on a team and saying, "Come on guys he's not that bad!"

What about me? If I had customers almost universally complaining about a service I was providing i'd probably reconsider my profession too.

LOL, cause Bowen is on the radio now and Cole has retired. There were a ton of complaints about Bob Cole before he retired. And Joe Bowen doesn't call games on national TV.
