A Lot on the Line for Canada at the World Juniors

I really hate the argument that Canada loses some of their best players to the NHL, and if they had those players they'd win every year. During the lockout year, every team had all of their best players and they didn't win (USA did).

only a fool would say they would win every year. the point is that they would have a huge boost and would win more often than not

I agree that they'd have a better chance every year, but some Canadians (not all obviously) use it as an excuse every single year. Imagine if USA had Trouba, Jones, and Galchenyuk again last year. And we'll likely lose Eichel and Hanifin next year. Canada loses more talent on average, but there are years where other countries are impacted just as much by losing players to the NHL.
