You guys mind if I share a memory or two over the next couple weeks?

He used to do this while we watched hockey. I’m telling you, he was more than “just a dog”

Please do share, this is a great pic! There is no such thing as "just a dog", they are huge parts of our lives. People who don't have pets may not understand how much they mean to us.

Merry Christmas to me, we need a new roof.

On the plus side, our friends dad is a very good roofer and is giving us a great deal but…woof.
Ain't home ownership grand? We recently found a leak in the drain on the standup shower that had apparently been leaking for some time. Thankfully it didn't create any damage to the wood around it or mold, so it was a relatively easy fix. But it's always something.

Yep, sure is. Thankful that we’ve built up a decent emergency fund so we don’t have to panic to pay for it, but I’ll be panicking about the balance of said emergency fund being lower than I’d like until it’s built back up.

Chibby was family. ...as are you!

whole thing just sucks. tiktoks of pets loving their families, stories of friends' animals getting christmas photos at their vets - I can't escape reminders.

last night i cried over a penguin excitedly running towards a human while "I will always love you" played, lol

Physical therapy is going very well, my therapist/torturer is very pleased with my progress. I'm now transitioning to using a cane instead of the walker :wally: Since my left hip is weaker & not as stable as the new one she warned me I may have to use the cane until I get that one replaced. I can live with that, it beats the hell out of using crutches or the walker.

Anything animal related these days will make me cry.

Plus Facebook with "memories" just about every day showing me Daisy pictures. I miss her terribly.

So I get it.

Damn I must have missed when she passed. I’m so sorry. Two Bruins pet legends. Brutal how much of our heart they take with them when they go We could never repay them for what they are for us, all the unconditional love.

Ditched the walker and cane
Slept decent last night for first time, take pain meds before bedtime and usually about 4 AM
