Go Navy!!! Dad was a radioman on a destroyer tender. His sleeping berth was right over the ammunition hold Back then it was either get drafted by the Army or voluntarily enlist in one of the other services. Fortunately for him America was at peace, the Korean War had ended a year earlier. His father served in the Army during World War I. He was fortunate too- he was assigned to the Quartermaster unit at Fort Lee Virginia. His future brother in law served in France and was wounded in a poison gas attack that left him partially disabled.

Finally got to take a shower today....turns out the waterproof dressing on my knee..... wasn't

So back to Dr for a new wrap job.

Said it is healing well, only need dressing until Monday

After PT yesterday it swelled like crazy, down into my ankle...
Can't wait for the swelling to go down, it's what makes moving and sleeping a big pain

Our dog stole/helped herself to 7 unattended gingerbread cookies yesterday, the cheeky thing. But we love her unreservedly anyway. That is the way of it.

I am pretty sure he had one named Neely before Chibby.

I had been taking sponge baths to keep clean. When I was finally able to take a real shower I felt human again

You have to let others into your pain. Talk about him. Never let his memory fade. I'm still mourning the loss of my Louie. It's still fresh. Animals are your family. Chibby will ALWAYS be apart of yours.
