Vatanen is a shooting threat when he's being used as a one. If not, he certainly isn't a passing threat. He's on the wrong side for starters. I don't get it if they don't swith for Risto.

When Finland has to rely on an unexperienced 18 year old to carry the team offensively, you know they're in big trouble. The pressure the media puts on Laine is ridiculous. Comparing him to Ovechkin? Lol.
Small nations suffer alot from generation changes. The team is simply too young right now.

Besides, statistics can be used to understand a game, but not to fully explain it...simply because there are numbers without correcting factors quantifying the different importance value of different actions...all count the same...ask anybody who understand a little bit of mathematics, man...you will see how wrong you are

Thats true. Few years from now we will be in better shape. But as of now, our big guns are just simply too young.

Kinda sounds like they are promoting a live roast of John Tortorella during the second period of USA vs. Czech
It depends on how you define "threat". He certainly shouldn't be shooting on the PP he's on, so he's not been a threat to anyone but his team.
Apart from that, Vatanen had 4 PPG in 71 games last season.

I think you have a point there but can you imagine how great Finland can be in say, four years time? I want to see that.
The hands freeze every time we get close to the net. Just no killer instinct this tournament. And pp needs new ideas. Can't understand why the Vatanen-Laine duo is still forcing those plays.
