I really want to see Ovechkin succeed. But this Russian team deserves nothing. The young guns should advance. Hoping for Finns to take this game.

Laine just always takes forever to decide what to do with the puck... Its like he is afraid.

I think it's cause he's yearning for a pass that he can one-time, but everything that's given to him is awfully placed for apparently no reason.

He has space there still and has had the last 6 games, Vatanen has been garbage offensively though.

Yup. Everyone is on to it, that's why it hasn't worked all tournament and yet no adjustments are made.

it hasnt worked, mostly coz Vatanen's passes seems to be either in front or behind. It's kinda hard to do one timer with passes like that.

You'd have a point if that was the case but there's been at least a dozen perfect opportunities and he's never passed a proper pass during those times.

Obviously you don't just try it right away without setting the opportunity up. Vatanen has made ZERO good passes during good opportunities.

It's like Vatanen is completely unable to do a one timer pass. He either shoots at a brick wall or fake shots or waits around for forever and the situation goes away. It's a short window but there's been over ten opportunities.


And if you don't understand it, a good opportunity = no one close to Laine and an open passing lane.
