Finland has very inexperienced and potential D.

I take it you didn't wake up for the game against juniors? It was a deflating experience. This time we face an actual top team. I don't find anything positive. Other than the Swedish D is really fun to watch.

Canada will probably have 2 or 3 wins

That leaves room for only 1 more team.. If SWE beats both FIN and NA they are the 3rd team.

You need AT LEAST 2 wins since im sure there will be atleast 3 teams with 2 wins+

Top 2 teams in each pool. This is the FIN/SWE/NA/RUS pool and it could in theory finish

SWE 3-0
FIN 1-2
RUS 1-2
NA 1-2

But Given FIN -3 GD and NA's +2 GD right now there would have to be a big result somewhere for Finland to qualify at 1-2. Sweden beating NA by 4, and FIN losing here by 1 and beating Russia by 3 also works. As does losing in OT here as they're using a points system so 1-1-1 would be better than 1-2 obviously.

Anyway rooting for Sweden to win in regulation, NA has the leg up right now in a 3 way 1-2 tie so I want to leave that scenario still open.

It was a crappy game. Finland didn't play well. Yes there is nothing to be positive about that game but somehow I dont think Finland played on its' level. And i've already said that if we dont play in our level or above that this will be a blow-out.

If Finland gets 1 point, they are pretty strong. Assuming Sweden beats NA, Finland just needs to defeat Russia at that point.

Nah, just kidding, after the humiliation suffered at the hands of the north american youngsters the only objective for team Finland today is simply not to embarrass themselves too badly. A moral victory would be to allow less than 5 goals.

I've already forgotten that game - how did it go? We have seen all kinds of turnaround in various tournaments over the years. Wouldn't be at all surprised that after a disastrous first game Finland actually shows up and really challenges Sweden. It's sport - much, much weirder things have happened.

I said pretty much the same thing in Jatkoaika. If he still has not clued in that the Koivu line does not work well on PP then it's a major flaw for coaching.

How can the Finnish via interview dude be so terrible? I'm used to having Finns interviewing Swedish players in Swedish and not only that, his English is third grader-tier. Yle's even had interviews in French and that's not even close to an official language...

I don't know about others but personally I'd be way too embarrassed if my English was that weak to be talking in front of hundreds of thousands of people.


Anyway, it'll be a massive miracle if Finland manages to win. I'm fully expecting Finland to get blown up, with most goals caused by enormous defensive mistakes.
