How is the USA "basically cooked" if Europe wins? USA can still win the final 2 games (Canada/Czech Republic). It would then be a 3 way tie with the tie breaker being goal differential. Canada would get in because they won 6-0 and likely will have a good goal differential, but USA could slaughter Czech Republic like 8-0 and end up with better goal differential.

When goal differential is the tiebreaker at group stages in all sports I know of, the goal scored vs teams not included in the tiebreaker doesnt count. So the 6-0 score vs Czech would be worthless in that scenario. USAs 3-0 defeat would count and that means they need to win vs Canada with atleast 4 goals to have things in their own hands (3 goals could be fine). A win with less than three goals would make them dependant on the result between Canada and Europe in the final game. Europe must beat the Czechs in regulation, before all these considerations would be a fact though

maybe because thats what it is, gimmick team with generic logo created for a business purposes. cooler logo than mapleleaf wouldn't do a trick at all

Team Europe's logo reminds me of this a bit.

Except its a shield, the stick is facing the other way and there's an inexplicable line above the stick.

Otherwise, they are both just as basic, plain and clean.

Unlike the team NA logo, which looks like bad graffiti.

Especially compared to the detail rich crest of the Czechs it looks like absolutely no effort went into it. But whatever...

Roman Polak has been one of the best players on the ice tonight again. He's doing everything right.
