Quick has been very inconsistent in the last few years, but there's no question in my mind that when he's on he is one of the best goalies in the league. He can dominate a game like very few goalies can when he's in the zone.

Not that there's any reason to be talking about goalies after that period. Quick is the only reason they aren't down more than one.

Man, Torts was the worst choice as HC. One cup 12 years ago really buys you a lot of rope as a hockey guy.

I have no clue how he got another head coaching job or why they'd let him coach this. He is terrible.

Those 3 are definitely more consistent than Quick, but I think Quick is every bit as good as any of them when they're all playing at their best. Price is easily the most consistent and dominant over long stretches though.

Honestly, even against the Czechs they controlled the game pretty well, matching the performance of the Russians of the two games. Just so quick and skilled, if it weren't for one or two weak goals like the first and last one, they probably would've done some damage. Maybe they are better than we thought, idk?

His SV% gets artificially deflated due to his team being so good defensively.

Fact is, he has a SV% over .930 in games where he sees more than 30 or more shots. He just sees so few of those games, his SV% isn't that high.
