The fastest speed skater in history would not have gotten back in time, don't understand what you're talking about. Explain.

He just didn't even try. Maybe they bobble the puck, miss the net or Quick makes the save and there is a rebound. To just get up and just stand there and watch is giving up. Whether he could have or could not have gotten back for the initial play is irrelevant.

US will get back in this game on the PP. But the surprising part of 2-0 score is that it isn't even Halak that has had to keep the score the way it is.

Kane makes that play wheeling it around like that 99/100. He's created like ALL the USA chances but he's been on the ice for both goals against. Torts misusing him for 1, but maybe people will finally understand how important toews is.

Totally. Toews would have def stopped that 2-0

Imagine Torts reaming them out in the locker room after this period. Nobody would take him seriously. Dubinsky would be embarrassed he has to play for this lunatic for a full 82 game season.

Yeah, if a Russian did that there would already be a thread about it.

"Kaner don't do backchecking!"

Someone has to back check for a pure offensive guy. Kane is great blueline in, but not a 200 foot player.

well, Torts has no friends on Europe team. But even couple of US players might not like him :)

I really don't think team Europe is bad at all on paper. Just a few old guys that took a bit to get going. They're a great team.

ye we are. Bellamare? Ehrhoff? Seidenberg? Chara is old, Hossa is old, Gab is old, Vanek just got bought out. Its not like we lack talent, alot of talented players but very few in their prime or actual star/superstar players.

US has tons of them.

Kane
Pacioretty
Wheeler
Suter
Parise
Carlsson
Pavelski
Oshie
Mcdonagh
Kesler etc

Europe:
Kopitar
Zuccarello
Josi
Drai

Just got to a TV. Needless to say I'm surprised. Has Europe been good or US bad?

Also, how has Dubinsky played? Has he stuck out at all?

I was frustrated during Sweden's loss to Europe, but we were at least the better team, creating more chances etc.

Question is.

Is Europe a great team, or is USA grossly under-performing?

Why wouldn't they be a great team ? They have good depth and really good players. I don't understand how people think they're by far the worst team in the tournament, because there's no such team. These are all elite squads.

So to answer your question, Europe is a great team, but USA is also underperforming.

I like how the Euro guys are having fun and Krueger keeps the gameplan simple - as it should be.

Kruger is a very good Coach. The Oilers made mistake to give him not more time.

Seidenberg and Ehrhoff a Chance for a new contract if the Play a good tournament.
