The best thing to happen to Kreider was him getting cut and sent down to the AHL to begin the year. I think that was a real wake-up call for the kid.

I was beginning to wonder if anything could wake this guy up, after having Torts as a coach you'd think he'd wake up out of fear for his life

It's like Staal had no idea that Datsyuk or any other player was near him. Staal handled the puck like it was a dump in and there wasn't a player within 30 ft, except Datsyuk was 1 ft behind him.
