Facing the Parise-less NJ Devils. Wow. I always suspected that once the organization stabbed their home growns in the back and gave Kovy 100 MILLION dollars it would be impossible to keep Zach a Devil. Really not surprised he left. Especially after the threw Langenbrunner under he bus. I think it weakens the rivalry and I've pretty much lost interest in the Devils.

When do the Devils have to forfeit their #1 pick to make good on cheating the cap?

Langs was a cancer in the locker room and Zach planted the seeds of leaving way before the Kovy contract, Rumors are Lou offered him almost 90 million to stay. Its not the players that make the rivalry,,its the laundry and us fans

He places himself and his game above everything and everybody onthe team as shown by his total disregard for his team and teamates all for a totally meaningless ASG and has had this outlook since he entered the NHL hence why has never lead a team anywhere outside a cindarella run as a 6 seed.

There is a reason that he is a player in his prime with a 100++ million dollar deal with the longest term on a deal ever in the history on the game and he still got passed over for the Cin favor of a 38yr old journeyman defenseman which says it all right there for anyone paying attention outside of the excuse making Devils fans who spin it any way they can.

Sather didn't make all these moves yesterday so that Torts can continue on with a short bench.

Guys already starting to run out of gas. That's why Sather just significantly improved both our mobility and depth.

Bickel should only be an emergency fill in at this point. Really disappointed in how his development has gone this season.

With the lineup the Devils have these days, it seems like they're a team that will keep coming after you regardless of what line is out there, so you just can't let up and assume cuz the 3rd or 4th line is out that you'll have an easy time.

BS has only played for two teams in a 13 year career,,not quite the definition of journeyman. Post shows you know little about the team. he is the most respected man in the locker room and with all our young talent being D man he was the perfect choice.

Man, I thought I took the rivalry seriously, but you take it to a different level But I shall try to address your points.

A) I dont see how you can argue Kovy isnt a warrior. He played the whole playoffs with a herniated disc in his back while outscoring your boy Parise.

B) Show me evidence Kovy places himself above the team

C) I dont pretend to know what goes on inside the Devils locker room and I dont think you should either.

D) Salvador is a journeyman? I didnt know journeymen play over 700 games

Heading to the Rock for this one...Devils should thank us for filling their building as they've had to go the pathetic Tampa Bay route where they spam you with 60/70% discounts on tickets just to get people in the doors and that practice started by the second game of the season...looks like their fans were really dieing to get hockey back!

You are sooooooooooo wrong. First Lang checked out after he was scratched for a game. Lou tried to have him wave his NTC, he wouldnt. His kids were is school and didnt want to move. Finally it got so bad he agreed if he could pick the team, he got traded back to Dallas for that year. Parises father was a strong influence in him leaving plus if you listened to, which I know you didnt, Parise's presser when he got signed he said he and Suter have been throwing around playing together for years and this was the best spot. You do know Parise and Suter got married in the same church(Not to each other but there are whispers). Suters wife grew up one town over from where the Parises live. That ZP build a 3 million dollar home on a lake 2 years ago 30 min outside St Paul. Every sign pointed to him leaving and it has NOTHING to do with Kovy

There was 3 straight years of Zach "William Wallace" Parise leading 107, 99, and 106 point teams to nothing better than 2nd round exits, before Kovalchuk came along. And within 2.5 years of Kovalchuk joining the team, they suddenly make the finals.

Keep pretending it was Parise and not Kovalchuk kid.
