You’re doing it wrong. Sorry.Corn never comes near my grill. Period.

A good steak doesn’t NEED anything but gets enhanced by stuff. Corn on the cob needs at least salt and butter at the least.
Sure, but most recipes call for an ungodly amount of salt anyway.I never add salt to anything. It's unnessesary.
Sea cockroach need butter.
I wouldn’t ask for any sauce on steak. Even bad steak taste better without A1.If you went to Le Bec Fin and ordered filet mignon and asked for some A1 sauce they would have thrown you right the hell out.
If you're putting sauce on your steak, It was cooked wrong.
The same goes for corn. If jts cooked right, it doesn't need any other accompaniments. Tha natural flavor and juiciness should make it perfect.
Given you also grill yours, I can understand why you feel the need to douse it in bad shit to hide the flavor.
Grilled swordfish. Marinated or even just sprinkle some lemon juice after cooking. You're welcome.I'll take your word here. I don't mess with anything from the sea.

I am seeing a sandwich-level discussion and implosion here
(not complaining)

I can't believe I'm on the same side as a Chelsea supporter but here we are.
I'll eat beer battered and fried striper after we go out on a fresh catch, but its more of a pride thing. I just tolerate it - plus, you can eat just about anything thats fried. I even gave Mahi Mahi a chance down in Jamaica. Tolerable, but not something I feel I'd ever crave.
Shellfish of any sort just smells too bad and seems like too much work.
I had a lobster roll at Quincy's in Cape May and it was marvelous..
f*** that place, they replaced Johnson's popcorn at the Wildwood boardwalkI had a lobster roll at Quincy's in Cape May and it was marvelous..
Wait....fully opening an already open mussel shell is too much work?Crab is a lot of work, not really worth it unless you're really in the mood for some reason, but lobster isn't that much work- just stick with the tail. Mussels (also steamed of course) are quite a bit of work, but YUM.
I thought mine was really good. Haven't tried them too many times so don't have too much to compare.Lobster roll is hit or miss, depends where you get it.
Scallops are notoriously easy to screw up.My crab cakes at Mad Batter in Cape May were also really good. I mean only place that was mediocre was 2 Mile Landing but that was in Wildwood I think. The apps there were pretty lame apart from the scallops? Those were really good but how do you screw up scallops. Lobster bisque was horrible.....not sure what it was..
Don't typically order them either but they were fresh and prepared well...Scallops are notoriously easy to screw up.
huh?Scallops are notoriously easy to screw up.
My friend loves crab and why he recommended two mile landing but I can't deal with the work either...Crab is a lot of work, not really worth it unless you're really in the mood for some reason, but lobster isn't that much work- just stick with the tail. Mussels (also steamed of course) are quite a bit of work, but YUM.
