Incredible career. Not many players come into the league with the expectations he had. And even fewer deliver on the expectations they do have. He's as close to a playing legend that most of us alive today will ever see. Top 5 player ever for me.

I believe he’s 13th quickest in terms of games among the twenty one 600 goal scorers. Only took him 305 more games than Ovechkin.

Always wondered where he would be at if he didn't have that concussion/neck injury. Because it's not just determining pace, he was a different player at that time, he focused his game on the other side of the puck a little more after coming back, before that he was this insane points machine. It wouldn't be just figuring out what he would have scored from 2010-12, but how his scoring would have increased in his career had he not changed his game after the concussion. I did look it over...

In those first 6 seasons (6th being cut short at 41) - 215 goals in 412 games - 43 goal per season pace (from 2011 to now, 38 goal pace per season).

I think if he kept scoring at the same rate as those first 6 seasons, he'd be at 75 more goals so not as much as I thought (around 674 goals).
