That's how he scored last night. Down at the goal with a tip in.Why isn't he down at the goal line like his golden days? His puck deflection skill has to be one of the best all time

However, like Price when he won it. ..take Sid off the Pens, and they are in a tight battle for lastCrosby is having a great season and likely gets some hart votes, especially if Pens makes playoffs (I think they will).
But being top 10 in scoring and top 3 in goals definitely isn't enough to win the hart. Probably not even enough to finish top 5 this season.
Give Crosby today 3 more goals and 9 more points and that makes him top 10 in points and top 3 in goals. And in that case, he's definitely still behind all of Kucherov, MacKinnon, Quinn Hughes and McDavid at least for hart. Possibly a few others.
Like you say - it's an extremely competitive race for the hart trophy this year.

Sorry I’m too stupid to figure it out but what does Super Mario’s even strength points look like.Crosby is now the 10th player in NHL history to reach 800 primary points (goals plus primary assists) at even strength:
Player Position Games ES PRIM Per game Wayne Gretzky C 1,4871,454 0.98Gordie Howe R 1,7671,052 0.60Jaromir Jagr R 1,7331,015 0.59Mark Messier C 1,756922 0.53Marcel Dionne C 1,348899 0.67Steve Yzerman C 1,514860 0.57Ron Francis C 1,731815 0.47Phil Esposito C 1,282802 0.63Alex Ovechkin L 1,396801 0.57Sidney Crosby C 1,241801 0.65
These numbers are not adjusted for era. A ballpark calculation puts Crosby in 5th place (possibly 4th).
Not bad for a player's been criticized for racking up secondary assists and/or points on the powerplay.
Lemieux had 763 ES primary points in 915 games, so 0.83 per game. Quite a bit behind Gretzky, but well ahead of anyone else.Sorry I’m too stupid to figure it out but what does Super Mario’s even strength points look like.
The 0.98 for Gretzky is blowing my mind.
Thanks.Lemieux had 763 ES primary points in 915 games, so 0.83 per game. Quite a bit behind Gretzky, but well ahead of anyone else.
It's wild that every single record is basically a collection of all time greats jockeying for spots 2 through 10, with Gretzky miles out ahead of everyone at #1. There is no argument for anyone else but him as the best ever.Good lord look at 99. People that say he is not the greatest hockey player ever are insane.
also the low scoring era^^ Quite impressive considering all the games missed during his peak years.
Imagine if he actually had as many secondary assists as some people like to think he does?1000th Even strength points for Crosby
And he’s the fourth fastest player in history to hit the mark (behind Jagr, Dionne & Gretzky)
Hitchcock and Peter Forsberg ignited a spark, Crosby burned down the Flyers house
"Secondary Sid" is currently 12th all-time in primary points and 22nd all-time in secondary assists in the regular season. In the playoffs, he's 7th all-time in primary points, and T-13th in secondary assists.Imagine if he actually had as many secondary assists as some people like to think he does?

The only players in NHL history who rank ahead of him on both lists (ie primary points in the RS and primary points in the postseason) are Gretzky and Messier.
It's hard to think of a disparaging nickname that's backfired more spectacularly.
