The top 4 have been good since Miller came back from injury, hopefully the scouts and nerds that work for the teams are seeing Lindgren's numbers recently, same for Borgen.

Would be nice if Schneider could take a step eventually, at some point you can't keep blaming the 47 partners he has had.
Schneider hasn’t had good results in the nhl except for playing with Gustafsson and Trouba for 3 weeks.

Lindgren, even while playing most of his minutes with Fox is last on the team in xGA/60 (for reference, Fox is 2nd.)

Thats a feat for a supposed "defensive" defenseman.

Schneider/Vaak just doesn't drive any offense (or hasn't to this point.) Their defensive numbers are fine and for a bottom pair that's what I'd rather have anyway.

I'd like to see what Schneider-Fox looks like but that isn't happening until #55 is gone and probably won't even after that.

The last 20 games will be or should be a big step up for Schneider, Lindgren will be gone, I still would lean Borgen gone as well.

I liked Kaapo Kakko and now I realize why. I think of him as a general victim of the organization's arrogance and suppressing young players and letting Zibanejad and Kreider do whatever they want and play like lazy f***s with no consequence or accountability. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I hate this franchise with a fiery passion. If it weren't for also hating the franchises we hate, then I wouldn't care for this franchise.

Last year in close games we showed a lot of resilience and were a great come from behind team. This year, we just drop the ball and have become a come in the behind team instead...

It's because the former go to guys have gone mia, yet they're still put out at the end of games to try and win it. This team has had a better pp without Kreider of late, but the coach can't resist putting him out there on a 4-3 to decide the game. That's why we fail

I know that your team has Igor Shesterkin as its goalie but yes in some games you can stop every shot. Shutouts are a thing and are expected from time to time from top goalies. I know Igor doesn't know how to get them so you might not know this. Also, allowing 1 goal is also something that good goalies do. And the defense played well enough for it. Just had to not shit his pants for 1 minute. It's absolutely mind-boggling how he never ever ever does anything wrong. Always someone else.

It's not the fact that he never does anything wrong, but Igor played well enough to keep the lead right up until the dying seconds of the game. Before that, we had every chance to close it out. We literally had 5/6 breakaways. We couldn't hit the net in what little time we had in the O-zone in the 3rd, and of course we got outshot in the 3rd.

I think some of you are so used to seeing this team suck f***ing ass on their shooting and mid goalies being able to stop us that you expect the exact same thing to happen against other teams that can actually shoot the puck.

We had a PP in OT. Zib could've closed it out in OT, but it was yet another failed breakaway. A bunch of things should've happened before the 3rd period goal and a bunch more things should've happened before a great one timer went past Igor.

Are people going to complain about Igor’s contract every time a cheaper goalie plays well against the Rangers for the next 8 years?
By default yes, since they all will be cheaper.

Quick should spell Eek-gor this Thursday night. Utah has tended to be low threat on offense.

Let Igor “heal.”

Anyone blaming Igor shouldn't.This team had numerous chances to blow the game open but couldn't.Yeah he let in a few he normally stops, but if we finished our chances those goals wouldn't even have mattered

Both goalie and skaters can receive blame.

On Igor, this is what he chose. When a player requests the contract he did, he puts himself under a microscope and targets himself for scrutiny. This is natural for any player who demands to be the highest paid at their given position.

Quick couple thoughts, as I only watched the first and highlights.

Ryan Lindgren. Nice work tying up your guy on the tying goal. Definite 1st pair player...

If your 4th liners get 2 goals, you have to win the game. End of story

I like that O'Conner kid. Seems like a buzzsaw Cuylee type.

The Rangers are some how 4-1-2 in the past 7, and 5-8-2 in the last 15.

19 games before the deadline, tick tock.
The Rangers haven't moved in the standings. They were 6 points out of 8th heading into Christmas. Three weeks later, the Rangers are 5 points out of 8th with 5 teams ahead of them.

Igor is not as good as we all thought. I feel duped.
He never was as good as we thought. He can get on a hot streak when he sees a lot of consistent action during a game, but the fact is, he is a top 5 NHL goalie, not number 1. We paid him like he is a generational goalie. Typical Ranger stuff.

The good players on the other team make our good players look not good. That’s not good.
Well Colorado does have skaters better than any of ours. Goalie is the only place we are supposed to make up for that. Would be fun to have an Alpha like Nate. Imagine having the speed of both Nate and Cale on our team. Years ago we had that kind of speed with CK, Hags, McD, Grabner, etc. I miss those days 😭

Played well all game and deserved a W, but that one is a great microcosm of why the core needs to change. Panarin spends the entire game lazily turning the puck over while his teammates backcheck, Lindgren gets beat by his inability to tie his man up in front of the net, and Kreider gets make a wish PP time in OT where the team tries to force him a cookie so he feels better about himself. The young guys must be in disbelief for some of this crap on the bench.

If any of our best players could have scored, we win the game. We played a good defensive game for the most part. D Structure and coverage was mostly solid.

Carrick and Edstron as your goal scorers says it all.

Over all good game but a Bad OT LOSS

If your fourth-liners score 2 goals, you better f***ing win the game. -- Gordon Bombay 3:16.

Panarin and Kreider were the worst players on the ice tonight. I couldnt believe my eyes when Kreider was on the ice for the powerplay in OT. Laviolette mustve been watching the WWE recently.
