It was a roller coaster. It was definitely a special one. The way it started with the ceremony was just a memory for life.
To see my parents walking out there, my family, it was a very special moment in my career. The 1st period, it was a tough test for us in this game a couple of times. But we showed so much character.
We sat here a week ago talking about playing really well but not finding ways to win. For the past 7 days, we have done that. That’s all that matters right now and it’s huge for us.

I know Girardi has a heavy shot and he's very accurate with it. He had a lane, so I just tried to stay in front and hope it didn't fly off the goalie.
It just hit my stick and was able to go in.

I shouldn’t have played Stepan and Marty. I should have taken that out of their hands. I saw them at 4 o’clock. They didn’t look good.
They both said they wanted to play but, at the end of the day, I’ve got to take that out of their hands because they had no energy and, obviously, it showed.
