Could be a fluke of scheduling, but I would like to see the league assign senior officials with lots of playoff experience to games like this because of the ramifications in the standings and the fact that this is the kind of game that could get out of hand quickly with younger officials.

I think all NBC and NBCSN games get what is perceived as a "quality refs". I wouldn't apply the term to VanM.

I was at the last Phiiladelphia Flyer v. New York Ranger game in Philly and it was crazy how much Philly attempted to bully the Rangers even away from the puck. Rangers must stand up for themselves but keep focused on the task at hand. Let's get the win!
