With a goal tonight, LaCombe has a total of 43 points on the season. He just passed up Fowler's 2nd best offensive output (42 pts) for the Ducks. Fowler's best offensive output was 48 points in the 2022-23 season. With eight games left, can LaCombe produce six more points to top Fowler's best?!

Also, LaCombe's 14th goal now has him ranked tied for 8th amongst defensemen. His 43 points and ppg rate ranks him 17th for both stats for d-men. I think LaCombe's next contract is gonna be an expensive one.

Hope you’re good with waiting an hour (it’s worth it)
I've never had to wait an hour there on a weekday before a game. Can usually order within 5-10 mins, and then get the food 10-15 mins after that.

Sunday before a game? Different story.

I am super happy that we have him another year under contract on under 1m. This essentially will tell if he can stay on the level. If he can - and I think he will - he will get paid. He will be 25 when he signs and I expect it to be 8y. I hope we will get him under 10m then. Somewhere around 8.5 would be great.

We will see.

This was a game where a loss would have sent a more powerful message. Goaltending and young talent is saving Cronin’s ass.

It’s time to swap Killorn and Terry. Terry is dying on that line, and Leo and Killorn still don’t mesh, except on the PK.

Strome on the 5 on 3 and Leo net front presence, are only scratching the surface of whats wrong with the PP. Still sitting at a lovely 12.6%, 2nd to dead last which is a 12.4%.

Just got to watching the highlights...what the hell was the referees' line of argument as to why the second goal for the guppies was ruled a good goal? Looked like a blatant, intentional contact with Dostal outside of the crease and should have been whistled dead immediately.

I'm happy Mac got 3 points but I had more satisfaction with the Toronto loss, they at least played very well against a very good team and were in it till the end. Sharks had no business getting that game to OT.

If the Lacombe we're seeing right now is what we're gonna get for the next 8+ years, he's worth considerably more than 8.5m and with the cap increases coming down the pipeline then definitely more than 10m. If we can get him locked up to 8.5mx8 I'm going to have to get a Verbeek tramp stamp.

I absolutely the think the Ducks should extend LaCombe this offseason. I know that it's risky giving that many years and dollars to a guy who's only done it once, but I'm all in on JLC. There's nothing about his game that looks unsustainable - even if the shooting percentage drops, he's still contributing to the offense and his defensive zone poise is superb.

8x$8.5 sounds great to me as an extension. Get it done.

Yikes. You can really see how disjointed they are in that clip. The timing and spacing is just so far off.

McTavish kicking it to Terry and him one touching it to LaCombe was a good play, but man, I don't think you can f*** it up more than that!

Brutal.

Speaking of the 5 on 3, I don't know if this account is telling the truth or not, but if he is, yikes

Another thing bad about the 5 on 3 and the PP in general is putting Leo in a position where he rarely has the puck or can't shoot it. The kid is producing on his own with little help from his coaches, same with Mac. Can you imagine how well these kids would be doing with a competent coaching staff?

To add, really hope this is true and sends a message upstairs to Verbeek. Changes need to be made.

Id be frustrated too if I drew a 5 v 3, had been creating chances and scoring, was fresh, was on the PP unit currently iced and was plucked for the worst finishing forward and coldest forward with offensive expectations...

For what reason? Any reason please...

They clearly wanted a RH shot where strome was playing. Strome is obviously a poor fit because he refuses to shoot, so colangelo would have even been a better option there.

+ putting out players who can't or won't shoot (Strome, Killorn, and lately Vatrano) instead of Cutter

we shouldn't f*** around - we should lock him up this offseason

I dunno. Verbeek has stated before that he doesn't like talking about contract until the off-season when their contract is up with Zegras, Drysdale, and Terry.

Also, LaCombe's camp probably won't take another team friendly deal like his current two-year deal for under $1 mil AAV. If the Ducks can pay Trouba $8 mil a season, then surely LaCombe's camp should demand much more than that, especially with the cap going up for the next few years, each year.

I'd like to get LaCombe's extension done this summer too before he takes his game to another level and we end up paying more for what he's worth.

I think in a game like last night's, putting Strome out there is negligence regardless of the justification. The game had already gotten away from the Ducks and even though they were leading, they needed at least one goal on the 5 on 3.

Strome was probably our second worst top 9 forward outside of Vatrano before the 5 on 3. Terry wasn't much better. It came down to going to vet guns and hoping the 5 on 3 would give them more room to be less sloppy.

But again, that wasn't even the worst part. The worst part is the continuation of the utterly anemic play with the extra man whether it's moving bodies or the puck. This powerplay will continue to be a dumpster fire until that changes.

Did you lose a username bet last night?

Unfortunately I doubt Z being pissed will move any needles. Verbeek and Pat are the type of men that will brush it off as a temper tantrum. But maybe Z getting pissed off was the reason why Cronin didn't want to comment on the 5 on 3 last night. I thought it was so he could bite his tongue and not invite more criticism to his buddy Rich.

Nah a bunch of mods were in on an April fools day joke.

All of our vets are refusing to shoot, like they are Getzlaf all of sudden. Killorn is the only one who will shoot of that bunch. The passing around is getting a bit f***ed at this point. The young guns obviously got the message. Whats with the vets trying to pass it into the net?
