[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

We’re trying to make plays when they’re not there. We’re not making plays when they are there. We’re fighting it all over the ice.
When you’re doing that, you have to rely on your defensive game and guys supporting each other if there’s a mistake. And there was just none of that going on.
We made a mistake, and we were naked. They were just getting chance after chance. Everyone has to reassert themselves to that part of the game.
- Marc Staal

It seemed like guys weren’t willing to compete hard, and that’s a very hard thing to say, but you have to admit it sometimes.
Our group simply gave away two points. It’s very uncharacteristic. The way Hank was playing, that’s very disappointing, we left him out to dry.
- Ryan McDonagh

It was 4-1, and Henrik was all by himself. It had been enough.
- Alain Vigneault

A convincing win would go a long way to quelling some stress around here.

But really? I'd be satisfied with a 60 minute effort that looks like someone on this team besides Lundqvist gives a ****, win or lose.

Limiting them to 40 shots would be an improvement.....somehow....

We need to win this game - Pengs are just 2 pts behind us.
Let`s do it.

fla is a good team.

if we come out with the same kind of effort, it will be a similar outcome.

this team seems unable to play team defense sometimes which i find odd since were mostly a veteran group whos played together for years.

scoring a few goals would help take osme pressure off the d and hank as well. too many 1-1 games going into the 3rd. goal scoring fixes/hides alot of warts.

Moore has a whopping 4 points in his last 31 games. Maybe we should plug Lindberg into the 4th line Center spot (his natural position) and see how it goes. Hate seeing him sit every night, but know Glass will continue to play (he's been decent).

Yeah, Pens win the H2H tiebreaker, due to us having the same GP/points/ROW.

Let's see if Sather's pep talk to them in the locker room yesterday actually helps change things.

Not holding my breath.

Quick turn around for a home game after a west coast trip.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if we get a point out of this one. Expecting us to come out slow. Hopefully can weather the storm in the first.

Let's see if we can keep them to under 100 Corsi events tomorrow. Given that wonderful game last year and the "hockey game" we saw in San Jose, I'm not exactly brimming with confidence.

It’s a rebuild.
I'm Predicting that Nash scores an easy one on Luongo after he dumps the puck for a line change after 20 seconds, Luongo makes an easy save on a Rick Nash penalty shot that Nash attempts butt first from center ice, or both of them spontaneously combust on their respective benches. This will align the stars for key players that choked during AV finals runs.

Anyway, it's going to be nice to see Jagr. Of course he will be booed for bringing some respect to the Rangers, but I understand the anger from the casual suits who can't get over Sather not wanting him anymore after "Christmas in July", the acquisition of Drury and Gomez.

The Panthers will also be in fear when the Potvin Sucks chant is whistled poorly.

What is going on with the Blueshirts?
