It’s disheartening to see a goaltending matchup of Bob vs. Mrazek.

And I can’t really blame Mrazek on the last 2, but they need a big save, & on the first one his angle was way off. Inexcusable. They needed that save & if he were in correct position he could’ve made it.

Regardless; when you’re an nhl goaltender on a playoff bound team, you need to make some of those saves. Mrazek makes virtually none of them, and the ones he should make are an adventure too.

Plus, on the whole, Hakstol and Hextall are much more to blame for this season, and everything happening in it, than Mrazek of all people.

For sure, its just easier and more satisfying in the present to blame Mrazek lol

Sanheim was very good -- unless you think he is very farty -- and even got a + to balance out that all-important minus! Top line is great, and TK is humming. PP1 looked sharp late. Manning made a dog **** play. Flip and that 3rd line sucks. Mrazek hasn't given us a needed save. Lindblom is cursed. **** Bob.

He called up Sanheim and Lindblom, motivations aside, and this losing streak has coincided with it (not blaming them ofc). Though the team has choked away a couple. Those two are as good or better than anyone we would've wasted a premium asset on. C'monnnn. You think 1 player -- be it a Kane or who exactly? -- is the difference for this team? He gave up good assets for Mrazek. Whether he had to or not, there's your rental, and most were over the moon about it.

Mrazek's angles and positioning are often terrible, but are you remembering the play correctly? It was a blocked shot that went right to an uncontested Columbus stick. Of course his angle was off.

Hextalls problem is that he’s way too rigidly adhered to his ethos which is “that’s just how I do things” regardless of if it’s actually working or not. He’s like a f***ing Android.

I can answer those for you:

1) Nothing. Lappy is too busy watching tape to work on adjustments right now.

2) Uh...we fired Hakstol in the off-season.

Manning is being used as a top 4 dman even with Sanheim in the lineup temporarily replacing the Swedish God of Body Checks. That severely hurts the team and limits what Sanheim can do.

Hextall should have traded Manning at the deadline at the very least.
