  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

I have a feeling that if the bruins were truly going for a capital retool. They wouldn’t have traded Marchand away. They might blow it up.

I agree and I’m definitely not going to go harass anyone with offers but depending on how our first lands if they wanted to tear down I’d dangle a couple of our top 6-9 pick/ luneau / Solberg/ Zellweger or maybe something around Sennecke?

You’re right though they probably wouldn’t go for it and i suspect are going to try to find a way to make it work next year.
I just can't see them doing it without an top forward going back. A lot will probably depend on where their own draft pick lands and who's available there. I'd probably prefer Pasta and aiming at a defensive specialist D man.

Terry+zellwegger ( we have sennecke inbound sooner than later to replace Terry long term going forward )

McTavish couldn’t bury one of those beautiful plays with Z, huh? They both should’ve had like five points tonight. Incredible work by Colangelo on that line as well. Kudos to the coaching staff for realizing they needed a big body to complement them—only took 70+ games.

Leo, LaCombe, Gibson <3

It feels like Mctavish and Z always have looked good together. They should’ve never been broken up in times past either. Z doesn’t really look good with anyone else. Mctavish seems compatible with a much wider range of linemates.

He plays a very simple game - get puck, shoot puck. I think it's easy to play with a guy like that (Gauthier as well). McTavish has struggled the most when he tries to get cute and complicate things. He just needs to forecheck and try to get the puck to dangerous areas and then crash the net. Zegras works well because when Zegras is doing well, he draws defenders and creates space for guys like McTavish to get better shots.

What’s really exciting Mac and Leo have a legit chance to hit the 20 goal plateau for the first time in their careers and didn’t play a full season.

Have some fun stats this morning. After that game Leo and Cutter have surpassed Vatrano and Strome in production based on ice time..

Gauthier is going to surprise people who aren't paying attention to the Ducks

It feels like if a top-6 LW needs rehabilitation, then the coaching staff sticks 'em with Mac. Cutter and Z have looked good on Mac's LW. It really helps to have a third offensive-minded player on that line and Colangelo fills it very well.

Colangelo has 21 game played this season. If he plays four more NHL games, then he'll be ruled out of the Calder race for next season. Ehhh... who needs that when Colangelo can establish himself at the NHL level for the rest of the season with the last 11 games.

Ducks have had three rookies up with the NHL club that have played 20 games or more after 71 Duck games. Cutter is the rookie the org wanted in the NHL all season. The other two are surprises with their call-ups in RD Helleson and RW Colangelo. So glad Cronin figured out not to play Colangelo as a grinder. Nestrenko will miss the 25 NHL threshold and will still be considered a rookie for next season. Nesterenko and Colangelo will need new contracts this season.

LaCombe is tied at 8th overall for goal scoring d-men! And tied at 20th for points by a defensemen, tied with Montour and Seider.

WOW he's got a higher Point per game rate than Seider and their from the same draft class.
The Yzerplan sure has stalled that the Ducks should be a contender sooner than them. Detroit has no future young 1C behind Larkin who turns 29 in july. Though they did get shafted several times in the draft dropping from #1 to #4. Their D will be great but so will the Ducks. I also like the Ducks young forward group much more than Detroits.
