Post-Game Talk: 7 Goals, 0 Drai Points = Me So Sad

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Pickard had an unsung night in this one. If thats Skinner getting 31 stops they give him a star. Two scintillating games in a row from Pickard and around the best backup W % in the NHL.

Oilers love playing for Pickard.

I don't think Pickard was particularly amazing, but I agree that if Skinner had the same night he's likely a star and the entire game would have been Louie and Jack glazing him.

He did his job, but I didn't think he was particularly challenged.

He made good stops look easy. He did make good stops in this game and from close in and some labeled ones. Just that theres no reaction to it, at all, in the broadcast. But yeah if Skinner was making any of the stops it would be Skinner the Savior coming down to save our souls.

He made a key stop early in the first on a deflection

Put together a little winning streak here.

Win the next 3 and the playoffs are virtually guaranteed.

Didn't see all of the game tonight. What happened to Drai?

Well, I was cheering for a Utah win tonight. Maybe I should cheer for opponents more often.

Flames, Nucks and Blues all won to boot!

It's 2025, can get a lot more than that for $200.

Take your wife to the spa, buy a tv.
Just bought an OLED TV for a little bit more than $200. It looks amazing and this was a good first Oilers game to watch on the new screen. I've always wanted to buy an OLED TV since I worked on small molecule blue emitters in graduate school. Our materials didn't end up getting commercialized, owing to their cost, but they were the brightest ones of their time.

You should want as many Canadian teams in the postseason as possible. Screw Utah.
More canadian teams mean crappier playoffs coverage and bad start timings.

Do we have any STL picks left or did we spend them all? Them missing the playoffs would give us better picks. Also, I don't want Holloway making the playoffs.

Whoever makes it hopefully knocks out the Jets for us.

Also, no thanks to cheering for Nucks or Flames to make the playoffs.
