I know it’s just Utah but see how much better everyone looks when slotted properly? Nuge and Arvi on the 3rd line and Henrique on the 4th is where they belong, and gives us depth. Now Frederic and one of Kane or Savoie with Drai will give us incredible offensive depth as well as the best defence of the Mcdrai era.

But this night was about support scoring with Nugent Hopkins 3 point +4 night; Hyman deuce; Podkolzen; Arvidsson and Ekholm big night. Oh ya, the premature demise of Connor McDavid dies unlike the super elite's game. Bouchard a smart, efficient game tonight too.

The Viking was outstanding tonight. Good to see him healthy and looking crisp.

McDavid was flying and we looked super fast overall.

We are so ****ing back baby.

This looks like a different team with a healthy Ekholm on the back end. Pickard was very good tonight too and that might have played a big part in the team looking so dominant.

The Oilers made the Utah defense look atrocious all game. They were walking the defenders constantly and Utah couldn't defend the front of the net. Knoblauch finding some line chemistry the last few games.

When McDavid has three points and Pickard makes almost 30 saves and finishes with a .967...and neither guy makes the three stars, you know it was a dominant team effort. Well, that and scoring 7...

McDavid only played 16:46. Probably took the chance to rest once it was clear the game was won.

I feel bad for Drai and Jeff Skinner, but it's nice to see RNH and Arvidsson start heating up. Don't break up that third line anytime soon.

So nice to have the real Mattias Ekholm back. And the real Zach Hyman.

McDrai are better, but a healthy Ekholm might just be single most valuable/important piece on this team.

Yup, it was a great team effort, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that they looked great tonight with the Viking back (and healthy)

Sure. But this was the worst opponent performance in years. Absolute laugher from Utah. Easier to look like magicians on this night. May not be terribly representative.

That said Oilers had some anger, angst and came our surly for this one and the Nurse fight signaling something was up. Nuge with some seething anger too. Converted nicely into his best game of 2025.

Unfortunate Drai pt streak ends somehow in a crazy game like this. WTF, two guys that are almost always on his line score their first goals in months playing away from him. Where is this ever when these two are WITH Drai not finishing a thing.
