I mean it's no secret that 3rd pairing has been poor, but look at Gauthier there. All he has to do, is follow his man. Instead he starts looking for the puck as soon as his guy shoots it, and then he's free for the rebound.

Nemeth and Lundkvist is an absolutely unacceptable liability. We have the personnel to address it. Waive Tinordi, send Nils down and give Jones/Schneider a shot. It literally can’t be a worse pairing.

Admittedly I was a big Mika supporter when it came to getting him re-signed and defending his extension. I still love Mika when he’s on, but I am very, very annoyed with his play so far. The actual most dominant and common observation I’ve made to myself in each game this season has been “Wow, Mika looks so lazy and passive and is just floating”. He had the one nice third period where he was flying for 10 minutes and that has literally been the only time his effort level even appeared acceptable, let alone exemplary.

It was pre-season. Trouba and Miller were both awful yet in the regular season so far they’ve been great. But sure let’s keep shitting on Miller for no reason while our other 1st round pick whose the same age continues to get coddled
