Started to see the gap in class that period, but we are doing an ok job in hanging with them and creating some chances.
That Smith call was very weak but we really need to stay out of the box if we want to tie this up

Some random thoughts after two:

- This team needs to work on getting set after faceoffs

- Really good work around the net, going at Holtby hard, looking for rebounds, trying to screen etc.

- Need to put more pressure on the puck carrier

We're definitely in this game, Caps are slow to the puck in their own zone. This PK is going to be huge

Snipers are one thing but the whiffs from Fast and the 10 chances Jimmy's missed on and the breakaways that haven't converted. All golden opportunities in tight games. Giving me PTSD flashbacks of Rick Nash.

If they keep it at even strength they are playing fine, but their PK sucks

That Staal vs Kuzy play was F'EN embarrassing. At least TRY to slow him down... you can't look ANY more impotent than you did playing it that way.
