Just to update you guys, I expect the game to go on, but there is always a possibility this one gets postponed. Blizzard conditions around here right now. Very bad even by our standards. Highway closures and travel bans, especially in towns just south of Buffalo. There was a press conference about an hour ago- the County Executive did not want to speculate on the game, but noted that the Canes are in town, so it looks promising IMO. We'll see how many people are in the arena lol.
As much as the fan bases heckle each other, hope y'all stay safe.
On status of tonight's game: "We are still gathering all the pertinent information regarding the weather forecast for later today" [1 of 3]
"We will make a final decision about tonight’s game vs. Carolina Hurricanes by mid-afternoon." [2 of 3]

Reminds me of that Chicago game a couple years ago here in Raleigh. Obviously not blizzard conditions like seen up north, but pretty bad road conditions given the lack of equipment they have down here to make the roads better AND the fact that few people have tires that handle that type of weather.
I have AWD and went to that game and the roads weren't great and it was very sparsely attended. You could sit just about anywhere you wanted.
Not only that, IIRC, we played probably our best game of the year in that game vs Chicago. It was a great game to watch on TV, but the crowd gave a big standing ovation near the end.

City of Buffalo is getting the brunt of the lake effect snow right now. It's supposed to shift south in the afternoon. I-90 is closed from Rochester to the Pennsylvania state line. Could play the game in an empty arena.
In Buffalo it is 2 degrees out with a wind chill of -26. Chance of snow 100% anywhere from 5-10 inches predicted.
Wouldn't be surprised if the game was postponed with that kind of weather.
What's Phoenix have to do with this?
Clearly you guys are missing the most obvious solution. Move the game out to Ralph Wilson Stadium and play it outdoors. Why hasn't the NHL thought of such a thing before?
That's an early spring day in Grand Forks or Winnipeg. It'll be so wimpy if they postpone it. I'm in China, it's too polluted to go outside much, and I'm bored. I want to be entertained. Let 'em play!
Why are you in China? Work?
are you spreading the gospel of chad?Yeah, and having to wait around killing some time in one of their little industrial villages of 4 or 5 million people. It's early Wednesday here. I'm from your future.
