The Hurricanes have sucked me back into believing in them, having hope that they will turn their season around.

Therefore, they will be shut out in this game.

Betting bad teams has been one of the teams strengths this year. Color me optimistic!

Please tell me Dobby is in net tonight and not Peters....I am hoping that lineup posted was just an oversight. Mixing of trolls i.e.

Now's a good time to pad the stats, score 4 or 5 goals...and keep the headhunters at bay!

Watch yer backs boys, the Louse are dirty, and lead by a dirty coach!

Would have liked to see Peters get this game. If not now, when? You're still looking to trade him, right? And surely Khudobin could use a break.

Completely agree with you. But this goes to show that KM likes to play the hot hand. If Dobby wants to be the starter, then he gots to bring it every night. I think you will see Peters in, once Dobby loses (badly?)

Oh absolutely, but he played, what 5 games, last week after coming off a significant break? I'm just worried about him aggravating something or going cold because of exhaustion. No need to burn him out so quickly when there's most of the season left to play. Have to think he goes Thursday with it being against the Leafs, but then Friday in Columbus is important too. Of course, starting a goalie in a back to back usually doesn't pan out.

We'll see how the rotation plays out, if there is one. I really hope Khudobin doesn't get all 3, even if he is playing well.

sabres are actually middle of the pack (17th) in terms of goals against. slightly ahead of the 'canes (18th).

Irrelevant, but still no reason to NOT to try and score a boatload of goals tonight!

Step on their necks, and watch your backs!

*The Canes need the ability to score 3 or 4 goals, and not rely on Skinner and a 4th liner to pot one every night.

As I said, I agree with you... I think a healthy split is 2:1 (two for the starter, one for a back up), but with the Canes being in flux in terms of who the starter is, I think, KM is trying to determine who is better, just so he is set for postseason before setting the rotation in stone (Complete speculation on my part).

All I have to say is that Dobby is set, serious and happy about the chance. He was exhausted after Isles (physically) and seemed mentally exhausted against Nash (but from what the little bird tells me: he is good to go tonight). He seems to be in a zone.

When you are just out of a playoff spot and need every point, you don't worry about playing Peters just because you want to trade him down the road. You go with what you think will give you the best chance at points.

Now, I do get the view that don't overwork Khodobin if you are concerned about him aggravating something, but after playing 2 games in Charlotte and 3 with the Canes, I would think the rust is pretty much off by now so go with it. I really can't say if playing him again tonight is putting undo stress on him, but the coaches/players know best on this.

IMO, Peters isn't going to get much (if any) of a return no matter what so I wouldn't worry about playing him to showcase him. I would guess (just my speculation) that there are no NHL GMs that view Peters as a full time starter and won't be giving up much to acquire him. We are talking about a late round pick or marginal NHLr IMO.

Just to update you guys, I expect the game to go on, but there is always a possibility this one gets postponed. Blizzard conditions around here right now. Very bad even by our standards. Highway closures and travel bans, especially in towns just south of Buffalo. There was a press conference about an hour ago- the County Executive did not want to speculate on the game, but noted that the Canes are in town, so it looks promising IMO. We'll see how many people are in the arena lol.

Thanks for the update. Didn't even consider the possibility that the game might be postponed.
