Sweet, so we're finally going to get our best prospect and now he'll come with a free concussion history!!! We can't have nice things!

Seriously though, straight up through the head, that'd be a big suspension in the NHL (if it was one of our players against a Rangers player or something similar)

I wonder if KHL refs have a dual penalty approach: one for players that are staying in the KHL and one for those that are leaving

As suspected

It used to be a lot worse, part of the cause of the DPA era was the IHL and other development leagues (really men's leagues) brutalizing prospects to the point they were already broken down by the time they were 20. Patrick Stefan is well known as one of the biggest draft busts of all time, what's less well known is he suffered major 3 concussions before he turned 18, including one that forced him to sit out for 6 months.

Jesus number 78 there got like 2 feet of air
Yeah, that was a shameful hit. Very dirty stuff from that goon. He should be suspended, and there shouldn't be any arguments about that.

I agree with there person that said let's get Nikishin over here as soon as possible. Not just because apparently his team is playing him 25 minutes a game, but now opposing players are trying to put him in a coma.

On the one hand, he won't score as many points here in our system probably in that we will have several options for moving the puck around on D. On the other hand, some offensive flair and puck movement skill in a big defenseman who can skate is a rare commodity, and our system will make him look good. Still expecting lots of oops moments when he gets here. He'll take time to adjust.

I think within 2 years he will be having a Hedman-like impact both offensively and defensively and will be the best player on the team (maybe 2nd best if we keep Rantanen and he shows he can continue to produce like he did in Colorado). 70+ points and shutdown defense but also unmatched physicality

I actually think he’ll put up really good numbers here, with the way we prioritize getting rubber on net, particularly from D just inside the blue line. The man to man style we play gives plenty of space for guys to jump in on the rush as well and can see him really picking corners as a trailing third guy on a lot of plays.
“picking corners as a trailing third guy on a lot of plays.”

I think Morrow will do that as well.
