this coach needs to stop relying on the DiGiuseppe And Lemieuxs of the world. Start giving those additional mins to Kakko and Gauthier. We aren’t scoring even strength goals and we aren’t scoring on PP2

PDG on the third line was great for Kakko and Chytil. But Quinn gonna Quinn.

They have been playing like garbage in front of Hank for years. I have no idea if they just relax a bit more with him back there and expect him to clean their shit up.

There’s no way they trust Hank more these days than Igor or Georgiev. Not a chance. Maybe a couple years ago, but not now. I assume they aren’t as confident with him in net. And they’re probably less relaxed and more tense because Hank flips out after every goal.

Laine’s playmaking is pretty damn good though. And at the beginning of the season, I heard from Jets fans that it’s surprisingly almost as good as his shot.

He was always a great passer, but I think he didn't have the overall picture of the game enough. He was not always at the right place at right time etc. But again, he has come a long way.

Kakko is already on PP2 and despite occasional good offensive zone shifts doesn't really deserve more ice time. He has 1 goal in 2 months and is still terrible defensively.

Gauthier is gonna get his chance in a couple games probably but man is that a minor complaint. Gauthier has 2 assists in 14 games. The Rangers just don't have NHL level forward depth, no matter which deck chairs you shuffle on the Titanic.

Agreed. I love Lemieux but one good pass (if it was clean) does not change the fact that Lemieux is a poor playmaker.
