For me was more adding one of the worst D man in the NHL more than the pick. Hurts playoff chance and blocks a phantom D.

Plus that 4th could be added to sweeten and Risto or Atkinson trade

You ever heard the expression death by a thousand paper cuts? It's nonsensical to target that player and it was nonsensical to spend a 4th to acquire him. It all matters.

It's not so much the 4th round pick, but more so who they got. EJ isn't worth it

Plus giving up any assets for an aging defenseman makes no sense for us
