Two quick coach ejections that were memorable...

Roger Neilson threw a stick near ref Bill McCreary "to get his attention" which led to an ejection.

I recall when Dave Schultz returned to Philadelphia for the first time and a Kings' player slashed Mel Bridgman across the face. A healthy skirmish ensued with the Kings' coach, Bob Pulford, shown the door.

The Flyers are down 4 starting d-men from 2 days ago. That’s BECAUSE everybody wanted Walker traded. If he wasn’t, it would still be 3.

Is the expectation that teams have 10-12 NHL caliber d-men? Does any team? Jersey lost 1 starting d-man for the year and they’re chock full of talent and still can’t even do anything but flail around.

This board was wondering why Attard hadn’t been called up. He’s been awful this game as well, and is clearly lost.

I don’t know how some of you expected you can lose half a lineup of players on D and just keep on going.

2 penalties were called that weren’t even penalties.
10m misconduct for a shove. Really? But yeah, no influence.

It’s just briere and torts.

Attard is bad because he's a developing defenseman. EJ is bad because he's a washed up defenseman.

Their badness is not created equally. Let's recognize that it's okay to live through a young kid's growing pains, but not subject ourselves to being a Make-A-Wish team for washed up veterans.

I find it amusing that on one hand the general consensus is that we were considered a lottery before the season began, and we are lucky to be in a playoff position... then when we play like one every so often the whole team sucks and everyone should be fired...

No we all knew this and 90% begged them to rebuild and trade guys.

Briere made a conscious decision to only have 5 D men while two of them are two of the worst in the NHL.

I can agree the 5 D is a blunder tonight, but Briere also can't send a message to the players that he's given up on them for the playoff drive... again culture of winning mindset starts at the top.

Guys like Laughton can be traded in the offseason... to continue the rebuild.

Changed my mind , without the refs we probably tied 0-0.

Staal EJ third pair next year is gonna be an extra dose of culture. I’d go 3 years each to try and keep their cap hits under 2.5 per.
