[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

It’s getting better and better, I feel more comfortable with the puck and in certain situations out there so yeah, I feel good.
Obviously everyone wants to play every game so you don’t want to hurry it either, but I feel good now so we’ll see. I feel like I can do most of the things out there.
- Mats Zuccarello

There’s not much time to think about it too much. There’s no dipping the toe in, you’ve got to jump right in.
That’s what I’m trying to do, trying to fit in and get acclimated with new teammates, some of the new systems, I guess, are a little bit different than what I’m used to.
But it’s not anything I haven’t played before so I’m trying to get comfortable as fast as I can.
- Martin St. Louis

We know that yesterday was a challenging day but just like, the example I can give you is the guys coming back from the Olympics, they have had a short hangover and it’s got to be over.
Hank needs to be the Hank we saw before going to the Olympics, Nasher needs to be the Nasher we saw, Mac, Step, etc.
OK now we’ve lost our captain, some guys have lost a very good friend, I understand the feelings that go along with that.
We can’t suffer from the hangover. The hangover was yesterday and it has to be a short one, we’ve got to move on and build new relationships.
Anytime you change one player you change the dynamics of your group. Yes we’ve lost a very important member but we’ve added a great piece and we need to let those dynamics form and I think it’s gonna be good.
- Alain Vigneault

We have no other options for Dorsett even if Zuccarello is gonna be out? getting sick of Dorsett fast.

Wait, Miller can't come back? I thought he just needed to be in Hartford on Wednesday. Either way it looks like Zucc might play.

Hoping Zucc is in. It should give us a pretty clear picture of what to expect for the rest of the season while healthy.

I still can't believe the MSL trade actually went through. I still believe in this team if they just go back to paying attention to detail. They were playing fantastic hockey before the Philly game.

Sather needs to cut dorsett if we want to see miller again. He had to do it with pyatt so there is precedent.

When MZA plays Dorsett sits. JT Miller needs to play either in Hartford or the NHL. If they call him up, they're not sitting him on the bench. The only way we see him again is if an offensive top-9 player gets hurt.

I get that, but not having him up as insurance for tonight is dumb. Dorsett should not play.

Maybe they go with 7 d if MZA can't go? I'd prefer that to Dorset.

Agree. Miller will live if he sits one game. We're in a playoff race here. It's idiotic to be starting Dorsett on the 3rd line, especially with how he has played since coming back.

They call me Rich Mats Marty. Im here to party.

Might not have hags forechecking, but the hobbits play with alot of grit and are agile along the boards. Both can score and open up the ice. Could work, couldnt it?

I wanna see Diaz in the lineup. dress 7 d. even if only for the powerplay, he's the better tool to have in the lineup over Dorsett right now.

We won't know lines until practice. Moore was there in the 3rd period last game. Dorsett was benched. We will see how the lines shake out later today.

I expect Moore there if Zuccarello cannot play.

Carolina has fallen off. Need to get two points here. Only Detroit got a point yesterday. Others lost. Need to get a W.

I'm very interested to see what he might add, particularly on the PP.

Hoping Zucc is fit to go tonight. It's a huge game, while they all are, Carolina are another team we do not need snapping at or heels down the stretch.

Think people are too hard on Dorsett. He was out of his element on the third line, in only his second game back in a couple of months, give the kid a break. He's still an absolute warrior. I don't want to mess with the fourth line, but I think he can be as effective, if not more, than Carcillo has been.

Hope Zucc's is ready to go

Need to start getting two points as often as possible. Stretch time. Can't afford to give points away.

Anyone else find it weird that we played more games against the Hawks, Ducks, Blues, and Stars than we did our division rivals Canes in the first 63 games of the season?

Personally, I preferred the old divisions and find the amount of teams spread out over two divisions in each conference odd.

The way the play-offs are now constructed, (seeds and match-ups wise) I like even less.

Carcillo has been more effective in every single game this year. Dorsett was mediocre at the beginning of the season and has been awful in his 2 since he returned.

He has been an underwhelming player this whole season, while Carcillo has easily exceeded nearly everyones expectations.

Double-shift MSL on the third line if Zucc isn't ready to go.

Hm. I disagree. They're different players. I think I trust Dorsett more. Carcillo has impressed me, but I still hate the guy. I guess I'm biased

Carcillo is better at thoroughly distracting the other team. I also think he has more speed.
Dorsett is more responsible defensively, when used correctly, and I think he's better along the boards in the offensive zone.

They provide different things to the team. If we didn't have Dom Moore (thank God we do), a fourth line of Carcillo - Boyle - Dorsett would bash brothers the hell out of people.
