Here's hoping Rinaldo doesn't decapitate anyone

Bruins fan here.

Rinaldo has been on his best behavior thus far so I expect that he'll be a royal pita for you guys, he'll be on a short leash.

If there is any fighting I won't be surprised to see Tyler Randell drop them.

Here's to a good game and no injuries.

Okay, I will admit my guy had a tough game last night, but let's see how many dmen have excellent games against one of the top two or three lines in the NHL. The first goal against was a bouncing puck(can happen to anyone), and the second he was being too aggressive moving up right after the faceoff. Look, even though he has had a cup of coffee in the NHL before, Manning is still basically a rookie "starting" his first NHL season. Big difference there. If Streit and Schultz had been on the ice for those two goals, would everyone be screaming for them to sit?

I would be more concerned with how the offense has looked as opposed to a rookie dman who has been on the ice for a total of two goals against in the first five games(even strength and PP). If Manning continues to make obvious gaffes, then maybe you do sit him for a few games. Until then, let him play through it. I would consider switching the D pairs, however.

The Flyers looked like a pretty competent team the 2nd half of the game.

Build off that.

Didn't notice Manning much in the previous games which is actually a good sign but he is no more than a third pairing guy with limited abilities.

It just doesn't make much sense to pair him with Del Zotto who actually plays most minutes of all D and is often matched up against the other teams first line.

For a short term shake-up I would try this.

Raffl-Giroux-Voracek
BSchenn-Couturier-Simmonds
Laughton-Bellemare-Read
VdV-White-Umberger

White is really good at faceoffs, and Laughton is struggling so badly at them that I think Hakstol is hesitant to send his line out there for faceoffs. If the top line still can't convert some of their chances into goals then swap BSchenn and Raffl.

we actually had one who scored 28 goals last season but we traded him for R.J. Umberger and future cap relief

Raffl had 18 ES goals in 67 games last season, Hartnell had 20 in 77.

And the top PP unit was just as good with BSchenn on it in 14-15 as it was with Hartnell in 13-14.
