If we could roll that, plus a 3rd line getting approx 12 mins a night of

Kreider-Miller-Kristo

would people be ok with it?

Absolutely not.

These guys all need top 6 minutes in the AHL for an extended period of time. Miller should be sent down once either Nash or Hagelin are back.

Guess it depends what your asking from your 3rd line.

energy, hunger, random scoring and building for the future.

Of course, I think this team is further from competing for the cup than many so I have no problems with a bunch of rookies getting useful minutes together

I love the 3rd line tonight, it's been very effective. I like the mix of Boyle's size, Fast's skating, and Pyatt....well I like Boyle and Fast anyway :dunno:

I'd do backflips, kreider-miller-fast until kristo learns to play d.

Hrivic-Boyle-dorsett fourth line with zucc as 13th fwd and cut the rest of em.

Theres other way of going about it. If you let Girardi walk, which is possible that opens up space.

If Richie continues this pace and has this kind of year you cannot buy him out. When hes playing like this hes worth every bit of his contract.

I disagree COMPLETELY. You HAVE to buy him out, even if he has a 100 point season. The fact is he's 33 and his contract will end when he's 40 at $6.66 million. The fact is he can't continue playing at such a high level. The fact is he isn't a power forward, yet he's being paid like one. Unless i'm mistaken, buying him out is the only way to get him off the cap hit. Being stuck with him for another 6 years at that cap hit, you gotta cut him. It would be one thing if his cap hit weren't so high or if he were only signed for a couple more years or were 25, but SIX years is too much at $6.66 million at his age and his talent level.

You gotta cut him regardless of how well he plays. That's just my opinion at least.

I love how Callahan fell down celebrating and then postured like he meant to do it. Right in a Caps fan's face too.

It looks like they're trying to mix a tough game and a skill game and it's working.

The play in the d zone is the real big improvement though

Dorsett has been fantastic.

He really has been fantastic this game. Great on the boards, great hustle to the puck. Battles hard against bigger guys. He's been good on the forecheck to create turnovers. Getting some chances... Hope he keeps it up.

Haha, funny you mentioned that. Pre-game they asked Carlson if they wanted this game to be more of a fight or a skilled game, and Carlson said a little of both...

Great period...now they need to finish strong with a W and build on this and carry it through against the debbies and the phlyers

The real turning point is puck posession. Rangers aren't giving away the puck as much now (with the exception of Pouliot).

Just get the puck in to the other teams zone and keep possession. And don't make stupid passes. That's all this team needs to play well.

Guys like Pouliot and Pyatt are decent depth guys who can add a good shift every now and then. They're just playing more than they should because of injuries.

They have no worth so we're stuck with them. Pouliot will help in shootouts.

That whole sequence was like watching something have a moment of divine drunk coordination. Cally's in the zo0o0one.

Haha Stralman goin for it off the bat.

Then that makes perfect sense, but if it's a defensive zone FO, checking line, it couldn't be more opposite. I'm all for seeing the kids play just not sure about all on 1 line.
