Kreider will be fine. Nash not so much.

Nash is 3rd in the league in takeaways. If you look at what he is doing on the ice, he is contributing. Maybe not on the scoresheet, but there is more to hockey than just points. It's the rest of the team who keeps turning over the puck and letting the game die on their stick.

hmm, Fast is back earlier than expected, isn't he ? I hope that means that he just healed faster than expected, and not that they are rushing him back (which would be an idiotic move 5 games into a season).

Crossing fingers for him to be 100 percent, and that he shakes off the rust relatively quickly :)

Don’t ask why. I have a strange feeling the Rangers come out strong tonight take a 2 goal lead only have have the Devils fight back make it 2-1 then we hold on for dear life and get an empty netter to win the game.

Fast and Lindberg came back earlier than anticipated. Lindberg struggled for a while and then came into form. Fast might take as long to get back into gear.

I'm expecting a nail biter.
Hopefully we come out on top.

I'd really like to see Graves and Lettieri in the line up

Graves, not Lettieri. Lettieri had a nice preseason, but he hasn't even proven himself a good AHL player yet. John Gilmour also had a nice preseason last season, and he sucked in the AHL.

What has Lettieri proven to deserve a call-up? And don't say "he was good in the pre-season" because pre-season isn't really a good indicator. History has proven that

I'm basing my opinion on pre-season because I don't know much about Lettieri but based on what I've seen, he's been better than anyone else in a 4th. line role.

He`s the face of the franchise, overpaid and har no points after five games. Why again should he be the face of the franchise?

IMO, this franchise needs a new face.

He was the face of the Columbus franchise. That's why he got that money. Nash is overpaid, but not the reason we suck. He is one of the best players on the ice and one of the most consistent. He just doesn't have any support. This team lacks center depth, and that was obvious even before the season started. We have no elite wingers either. This team doesn't have forwards with the individual skill to decide games. And I am not talking about generational talents. Guys like Kucherov, Tarasenko, Kane, Laine, Draisaitl... We don't have anyone of that caliber either.

I always thought Hank and McD were the 'face'' but there's no reason why Nash should be. Again, that's a different argument to 'not contributing'

During pre-season... Against fringe NHL-players and prospects. You can't use that to justify him being called up. Unless there is an injury, I doubt he will be called up. And rightfully so. He's not exactly setting the AHL on fire either.

I can't?
I guess I can't justify Shattenkirk and Smith playing against NHL competition either then..
