I want to say that this is Classic New York Rangers (TM) because they do this all the time.

Have a good first period and then piss it all away in the second. I bet in the third period, they won't play until the final 5 minutes and then it'll be pure domination, but no scoring.

First period was pretty good but playing like shit again. Not a big fan of Desharnais. Brendan Smith is not doing a lot for me now either. But too many giveaways and head up your ass plays all around. These guys look like they're still making their way through training camp. I don't know whether I want to watch any more of this one.

Seems the new directive on stick infractions is *in actuality* simply another tool for the refs to call the game as they fancy.
The randomness of the refereeing is the worst thing about this league.

I don't buy that. This is the same type of play we have seen from this team for 2+ seasons now, outside of October last season. Either the team isn't good or the coach's system isn't effective anymore.

Me too. When they called Desharnais for it, I thought it was a good call. Let the players show their skill and make defenders actually skate and get position. It will actually make players skate more and improve, I think.

1-5. Not a great start. Results are bad and the performances are worse. I have no hopes.

We need more traffic in front of their goalie for rebounds and puck deflections. But I don`t expect them to comeback, because too many are struggling with consitency, and AV killed most of our hot players with line rotations or poor finishing.

I’m not panicking yet but after all this time you’d think AV would have his system in place. And if he does, actually, have it in place, maybe it’s time for a new direction. Anyhow, I’m no expert. Just getting a bit frustrated.
