Bring vermette in. Zegras, Leo, McT,Lunde arent allowed to leave practice till they can beat him 50% of the time.

Yes I realize this may mean they miss games since they arent allowed to leave the practice rink until mission is done./s
They don't officially graduate Vermette school until they smack a ref in the back of the legs

I’m just glad Killorn is away from Carlsson. I’d probably demote Gauthier as well, but at least I can see the vision in keeping them together, because that’s a move to build future chemistry.

Gauthier on the top line has been pretty painful but the other added bonus is IF he can figure it out and get going on that line, it will probably do wonders for him mentally.

I was in attendance last game. What a shit show! I'm so tired or being invaded by la and losing to them. It's embarrassing. We need a real coach. cronin has already lost the room.

the pond will always get invaded by kings fans. they'll always have a bigger fanbase as a result of getting a 26 year head start on the ducks and winning 2 cups in recent memory

It’s rather depressing that Zegras peers like Caufield and Boldy are taking the next steps forward, while Z is taking steps back. I put most of the blame on Cronin.
but he plays somewhat ok defense now! so that obviously makes up for him dropping his offensive production 90% because apparently that's what some people would rather have

I just want him to be responsible, not worry about defending. If Z made those bad passes that LaCombe made , he would have been benched.

Z is far from a finished product but if he is unable to simultaneously have a high end offensive game while being responsible defensively I think that says more about his ceiling as a player than anyone on the coaching staff

We saw glimpses of it towards the end of last season he could do both. But I still have serious concerns with this coaching.

So you don't think a good coach should be able to get a player to improve his defense without losing most of his offense? Isn't that what a coach who is good at developing kids is supposed to be able to do? Improve their weaknesses while not losing their strengths in the process? Because if we don't expect that from a coach, then I don't know why we ever hired Cronin (supposedly good at developing young players) in the first place.

No that is not what I said. Unlike some I don’t believe Zegras is doomed to not be a high end offensive player on this team. I just disagree with the notion that Cronin is somehow coaching the offensive out of him. Zegras started slow offensively last season as well and we’re still only 5 games into this one

But what you said is that if Z can't be good at both you would blame the player, not the coach. Even though we hired a coach (supposedly know for player development) where player development was prioritized over winning.

I just don't agree with that.
