Hagg is easily the worst defenseman on the team (and was last year as well, and that includes a guy like Manning who is not an NHL defenseman). Despite all of his flaws, and they are legion, I much prefer AMac.

MacDonald Myers

And balance out the icetime between the top two pairs better.

Hagg should not be with Gudas, give him a RHD who can move the puck and he's serviceable.
MacDonald is a solid 3rd pair D-man, not a great fit with Ghost b/c both are wimps and each would be better served with a more physical partner.
Sometimes it's not that a player is "bad," rather a player is asked to do more than he's capable of doing and looks bad.
Part of coaching is putting players in a position of succeed, but it's also up to the GM to build a roster that allows a coach that luxury.

It probably takes 15-7-2 for 93 pts at least if they beat "the right" teams amongst those 15... possible, but very difficult.

But 16-7-1 for 94 is more likely what they need for an actual good shot.

I ran some simulations and for me I see 96 still as a "chance", but that also means all teams above the Flyers play below their winning percentage.
