Is it bad coaching or the fact that Boston is just exponentially better than the Rangers?

I think its the latter.

It's more than that today. Perfect storm of bad. We have these kinds of games every once in a while even against worse teams than us.

When i watched my first NHL season (89/90) on TV here in Norway, the thing that impressed me most was the players ability to get shots on the net. I think I agree with 99. Give the players heavier wooden sticks and they will be better. In golf, the clubs which is used for precision (irons/wedges) weighs the same and are almost identical to the ones used in 1990. In hockey the stick are much lighter. You shoot harder but loses a lot of precision. Any analytics on this?
