“@NYRangers: First goalie off the ice for the #NYR is @ctalbot33 ...”

Talbot starts tonight.

Team is playing good. They are feeling good. They need to come out on the attack.

A lot of key west vs east matchups tonight. Rangers take care of their own business and let the west take care of our competitors...and there is a good chance they will

LAK vs CBJ
COL vs PHI
WPG vs WAS

Can't let up here. Just beat a good Avs team and going into a Pitt game.

These are the points they need to take. These are the games that you regret losing in April.

Got a feeling Talbot is going to get lit up with the Oils quick offense. He doesn't do well with cross-ice passes through his crease. And they are very deceptive and creative. D will need to limit shots to the outside and Keep.It.Simple.Stupid.

I guess the main challenge tonight is to stay 100% focused on this game and this game only.
- A 4 game winning streak does NOT mean you're invincible and can cash in victories with only 90% effort.
- The PITT game isn't until tomorrow. A great result there would be very welcome, however, it shouldn't occupy their mind tonight.
- There is probably plenty of anticipation in the team surrounding the olympic competition (or break) coming up. National team coaches and girlfriends calling out for attention and possibly distracting from tonight's game. Not ideal.

Still, these guys are professionals, right? LGR!

Big game tonight.

Oilers D is brutal. Press them and they will capitulate.

Cannot take the light man light. Come out at the start the way they did against Colorado and get one or 2 early goals. The oilers fall behind early and they will fold like laundry

Kreider not being on the score sheet is not indicative of hos he's played.

He's played well over the last few games, points or no points.

Seems like the Rangers are finally rolling three scoring lines because if Stepan's line is quite, Zuccs is stepping up. If Zucc's like is quiet Richards line is more noticable.

Teams are stating to pick their poision with the Rangers and have keyed in on stopping the big boys (Nash and Kreider) which is allowing others to step up. When the opposing teams chooses a different poision, the big boys will pick it up.

That's how good teams remain good.

LGR

let's just hope there is not a freak injury on Callaprone tonight :shakehead

With a team like the Oilers the key is just to possess the puck more than them (duh). Their team D is bad and as long as your'e pressing on offense you're not letting their good offensive players get a chance to creating scoring opportunities on you. IF you take lots of penalties and run around a lot and let them hold onto the puck then they WILL score on you. If the Oilers have one thing it's guys who can score if given the opportunity

The Rangers are great at celebrating random milestones. 85th year! 6000th game!

I'll be pretty upset if we lay an egg here. Too many teams within playoff striking distance to let a ****** team like Edmonton steal some points.

Would you rather we lost tonight and won tomorrow or won tonight and lost tomorrow?

Would you rather we lost tonight and won tomorrow or won tonight and lost tomorrow?

Honestly I'd be more upset about a loss tonight than I'd be amped about a win tomorrow since while its nice to beat a good team, we're never catching them so it doesn't matter.

I'd rather win tonight because losing to Edmonton will just suck for the next day.

We'll crush the Oilers and then we're putting in our application for contendership tomorrow night by defeating the Penguins.

LGR!

This is what it comes down to. Let the Penguins have their top seed. we need to worry about building a cushion now.

If one game has a 70% chance of winning and the other a 40% chance, and both have the same payout (2 points), you go all in on 70% odds.
