I have waited for Zucker to give a glimpse of his skill set and quite frankly he is simply not very good. Time for Sully to make the hard decisions here.
I've seen this movie before several times. It's an issue with roster management and if Sullivan doesn't adjust it will probably sink us. Like it has the last two years.

Think this Pens effort is better than some are saying. Have got a decent amount of traffic to the net. Have been disciplined in terms of not overcommitting on the pinch, forechecked well, have been very strong in terms of committing around the net (particularly sealing off the sides) to protect the goalie (although Legace has still had too much to do).
The problem is everybody's puck skills look awful today except maybe Gaudreau's. Everybody. We're worrying about the edge going for a week off and it looks like they've already had that week!
But I think the structure is right.

Zucker is not a bad player. But he cannot play with Malkin. That is clear. He's had maybe 5 good shifts in all of their games together. How the f*** do you sit and watch this as a coach and think it's going to work? How the f*** do you just watch your second superstar chase the puck around like a bantam player while he watches Zucker f*** around with the puck?

Because I love the team and if they fail again I hope Sullivan is fired. He was a great coach who has fallen in love with himself and it's the most common story in hockey. It's hard to maintain what got you there, and he has lost the plot.

Agree. At some point, you have to give Buffalo some credit, too. They are doing a much better job of protecting Doogie.
