At the very least, he’s still waiver eligible and lord knows San Diego needs help back there. I don’t understand why they simply don’t have him playing games anywhere
It’s beginning to give vibes that he could be trade bait.

I kinda wonder about a Mintyukov for Simon Nemac change of scenery for both type trade. Thought about it the other day

Change of scenery trade with only 1.5 NHL seasons played is crazy.....and I don't think your thought is far off the mark either. Just crazy that it's a possibility.

Seems like the coaching staff doesn't rate Mintyukov, and I'm sure that will come back to bite us in a couple of years time.

I believe it will bit us in the ass, but it’s pretty odd that they wouldn’t send him down to work on his game and build some confidence. Just not sure what sitting in the press box does

I think we were all saying the same thing about Zell when he was scratched for numerous games in a row.

There doesnt seem to be a rotation that is game to game but rather like 5 games to 5 games.

Not sure I agree with how they are being "developed."

If we send Minty down, then we're bringing up yet another youth D b/c that is all that is signed by the Ducks. Yet another youth D sits on the bench. The best option, unfortunately, is for Minty is to stay with the NHL club in case an injury happens, especially on a road trip.

Even if we trade Dumo, we still need a 7th D, at least on road trips, if we don't grab a fringe NHL/career AHL'er.
