How is criticizing him for not backchecking, leading to a goal, evidence of an agenda? It's amazing nobody else called him on it. Even the broadcast called him on it.

Not sure what broadcast you were listening to, because the Sabres broadcast I was listening to did nothing of the sort. They merely said it was just out of his reach and that both point men got caught deep.

Wasn't Coho the player that did back check and barely missed the puck as it went to Hendricks?

It sucks, but it's an established rule. Why Dunleavy and Rayzor continue to "listen for the whistle" is beyond me.

I mean, stokes uses intensity as one of his arguments, when arguing about Ennis v Hodgson. If you need to use intensity, to prove why a certain player is better than another, you're reaching

It wasn't the truth though.

The ref should have said "intent to call the whistle" rather than "the whistle went before the puck crossed the line", which was not the case.

It doesn't matter when the whistle actually goes if the referee decided the play was dead. Rob Ray really shouldn't try arguing with the rulebook

If we miss the net by a foot or so can we call it in because we had intent to score? Are we sure that's not in the rulebook?

Rob Ray has taken too many shots to the head. He should know the rules. It makes no difference when the whistle goes, it is when the referee decides play is over and he intends to blow the whistle.

Enroth is going to stonewall the Oilers rest of the way... no way they score another goal.

This is pretty pathetic. Look, it's in the rules. If you don't like it, you don't like it, but these stupid comparisons aren't doing your argument any favors

They known that, but the ref announced that the whistle went before the puck crossed the line, not that there was intent to blow the whistle. He was wrong.

Didn't really think it was funny. Just making a comment on how people jump to "it's in the rulebook" (which they're correct at) but an obvious statement.

Rob Ray (speaking of Ott): "Yeah, he's an excellent passer!"

Ott promptly makes a terrible cross-ice pass leading to a 2-on-1.
