Win and we're in a playoff position. Wowzas.

It would be a big morale boost to the team after the terrible start of the season. It would be big for the fan base too with the Rangers looming on Thursday.

I think our Ontario kids have strong games. JT is going to beast tonight in front of his parents.

I was looking at their numbers vs ours in terms of forwards, while we are missing Quine and Clutterbuck aside, they have multiple guys with 40 or more. 164-160 in GF and then you check out the defense and there's where we make it up.

Shattenkirk would be huge for them.

Yeah, Boychuk was physical as hell last meeting though. Maybe we see more.

Miss the hell out of that guy but also want them to take it slow so he doesn't keep getting re-injured. Maybe by Thursday?

Hopefully Cal just shows up in the lineup one of these days. But agreed - he needs to sit until he's healthy. He looked like a shell of himself those few games he got in in between his bench stints. Guys like Marner and Nylander wouldn't be so cavalier with their dangling if they knew Cal was liable to pop them at any given time. Matthews too - even though he's a big boy - needs to be constantly banged (pause) whenever he has the puck. Despite his size, he's still a kid.

Back in the 90s, Bill Clement actually started a sentence like this: "I was talking about banging Beukeboom the other night..."

I've got kids, a mortgage, a job....if I didn't know better, I'd be considered a grown up by most metrics. But I still laugh giddily whenever I see **** like that.

First time posting in a while. I was so disgusted with the offseason moves, the coaching and really everything involving the team, I kinda just laid low, checked in here and there and watched some games where I had a chance to. Now, I'm still not thrilled by a lot of it but I have to admit. I find myself not missing the games and I'm fully engaged. My passion is coming back and it all starts with the firing of Capuano. I always knew he was a detriment to the team. The team seems to finally believe in one another and it's exciting. Tonight is probably the first time the entire season where I'm legitimately excited for this game like it's a playoff game. Because we have hope again. LGI!

Same. Wasn't thrilled when all three of our homegrown guys left with nothing to show for it.

Quine is back in the line-up replacing Prince who is day-to-day. Quine will probably be back with Ladd and Chimera and Beauvillier back with Nelson and Strome but we'll see. I personnally like Beauvillier at center.

hmm such a conflict..watch this whole game or show your loved one you appreciate them on valentines day..hmm...

This is why you'll never get married.

A savy husband looks ahead and notices there's a game I want to watch on Valentine's Day. He then starts dropping hints to his wife that Valentine's Day is a very expensive night to eat out. Restaurants charge ripoff prices that night. We should go out the night before and celebrate Valentine's Day that way. Then, you get her a nice piece of jewelry with the money you saved and give it to he today. You look like a hero and now you have some equity built this week and you can watch the game tonight in peace!

Conversely, the savvy wife of the season ticket holder obviously realizes her husband will be watching the game. But plays along anyway. And gets jewelry AND a dinner out of the deal. AND keeps her husband's ego in tact. ;)

I hate this team. A few weeks ago I'm wondering if Nolan Patrick will play center or wing for us and today I'm looking at possible seats I may want to sit in for the playoffs. Like I said. I hate this team

I think we will see a lot of 1-3-1 and 1-2-2 from us tonight. Not going to get sucked into fire wagon hockey with these burners.
Guys Like Cool Lemon and Ladd will be very important to this type game and they should take the body as often as they can when it is there for the taking.
Otherwise, it could be another 7-6 game.
