Headed to the Garden tonight. It is going to be my first time seeing Ghost in person. I am not really sure how to contain my excitement, any suggestions?

I don't think we have to worry about our defense being to soft. The Rangers are one of the softest teams in the league. I really doubt we'll see a physical game tonight.

Well I'm happy Read and Laughton are back, but I still wish Imberger was one of the people benched, but ohh well. Also glad Manning is out, but on the flip side it would have been amusing to see him try to fight everyone all game.
The players need to reach down between their legs and pull their heads out of their butts. These guys need to shoot the puck and stop trying to make impossible passes. The coaches should be preaching basics. I was at the game yesterday and believe me that shot total was complete bull. There were more bad passes in that game then in a whole nfl season. In the beginning of the second period I watched the shot clock bounce up 4 shots without a single shot fired. All the posters here were laughing at how bad the Devils were going to be this season yet they were organized. Coaching is the issue. Stop the incessant and unnecessary passing, put the shot on net and crowd the net. And Jake, stop skating behind the net, losing the puck, and getting caught out of position.

What's Weal's AHL SO record?
Gagner is not anything special in the SO. He's 1/3 this season and that's higher than his career perecentage.

I get so tired of hearing that this team has crap players. We all said the Devils had crap players and were going nowhere this year. Well, we have a rookie coach and two assistants tha didn't make us competitive last year. Our defensive scheme sucks and our offense think every shot has to be a highlight shot. We probably have one of the best goalie tandems in years, although I think Nuvy should be the starter. There is enough offense if we played smarter to make the playoffs. How many times are we going to say "just wait until our young guys come up". In the meantime our current players get long in the tooth. No, now is a good time to stop making excuses and play hockey, stop trying to play this Silly finesse game. I've never seen a team pass up so many shots to make risky passes.

You don't like living in reality I can see. This team has good players at the top of their lineup but everything else is horrid. Depth separates the top teams to the other teams. The Flyers don't have that.
So, by that theory we should never shoot into traffic. But it's ok to pass into traffic and let the other team get control and go down the ice. Because that's what we keep doing.
