I will say, as someone who does not like most hype trains, this Buchelnikov kid is piquing my interest. Given how long it will probably take him to get to NA, I feel like his hype train is one of those old timey steam engines that slowly pulls away from the station and takes 10 minutes to get up to speed, and 5 minutes to exceed running pace. And it's early. So I'm just casually walking along this hype train right now, with one hand on a stair railing, waffling about.

I feel like I've got a good amount of time to hop on this particular hype train before I'm sprinting alongside, chucking my bags on board, and getting helped aboard by a very chivalrous train attendant like I'm Dottie Hinson during WWII.

Bro, if you don’t get on the hype train now it may start looking like a train in India and you’ll be one of the guys riding on the roof.

I will be very dissapointed if he keeps playing in the MHL. Its a trash junior league with only a couple of powerhouse teams and the rest being bottom feeder teams with little talent.

We have already seen him dominate the MHL, now is the time to move up.

I take it most of this is just gamesmanship from the coaching staff? Make it harder for the opposing teams to prepare if they don't know who's on the roster? It's wild to me that they let players just change teams like that without some kind of transparency. Also knowing that Russia is a pretty corrupt country, I wonder if a lot of this is done to provide certain in groups with insider gambling info?

I think they believe it’s genuinely best for development. They did the same shit with podkolzin in his d+1

Oh that I don't have a problem with, but it seems like there just needs to be transparency about when players are sent up and down between clubs. We can't just bring a guy up from GR without telling anyone, and that's kind of what's happening.
