I’m not taking blame off the coach completely, just saying I think Verbeek has more control over deployment than many want to believe.

If Pastujov or Sidorov don’t pan out it’s not bad drafting.

That’s my point. We’re now relying on the 3rd/4th rounders to pull off a miracle and pan out because we went 0/4 on the late 1sts we acquired

Anaheim has invested in a several top-10 forward selections. That's where the bulk of our talent should be shining.

2021: C Mac, 3rd OA
2022: LW Cutter, 5th OA (via Trade for 2020 6th OA RD Drysdale)
2023: C Carlsson, 2nd OA
2024: RW Sennecke, 3rd OA

Anaheim is great at drafting defensemen and goalies beyond the top-10. Because they are able to d-men/goalies well, they are able to use top-10 picks on forwards, as shown above. And with more d-men talents showing up, that means the Ducks have more draft capital to trade for more forwards. But Anaheim kina already has five top-6F already drafted.

I'm more concerned that the Ducks haven't invested enough in a top-10 d-men and relying late first and above. We're fortunate that LaCombe is looking like a top-10 draft pick.

Some people here need to curb their criticism of this kid. Who is the youngest player on this team, It’s been insufferable and toxic here.

With that said, 2 points tonight…..Killorn finally pots a pass from him….. Finally!
